Osceola County is holding an Open House in regards to the new preliminary flood hazard maps.

·        Approximately 11,000 properties have been affected.

·        The new maps mark the first time in 10 years that a comprehensive re-examination of Osceola County, City of St. Cloud and City of Kissimmee flood zones have been conducted.

·        The maps are only preliminary, this open house gives residents the chance to review the changes.

What exactly will happen at this open house?

  1.  Identify your current flood zone and if any change has occurred.
  2. If a change has occurred you will visit a station to submit any appeals or protests to the change.
  3. You will receive information on flood insurance
